Description
The F-86D was the all-weather version of the ubiquitous F-86 Sabre fighter (of Korean War fame.) The nickname "Sabre Dog" originated from the "D" in it's designation. The aircraft depicted here was an F-86D-50NA flown by Col. M. J. Quirk, the Commanding Officer of the 512th FIS, 405th FIW, at RAF Brentwood, England in 1958.
