This image depicts a U.S. Air Force F-84G Thunderjet on a mission deep in Korea..
"Night Take Off/Ruth" (s/n 110437/FS-437) flew with the 58th Fighter-Bomber Squadron, July 1952.
The F-84 Was the first succesful jet-powered strike aircraft in the Air Force inventory. Built to the ruggedness standards of its World War II predecessor, the P-47 Thunderbolt, the Thunderjet proved its worth and durability during the harsh Korean campaign.
