Artist's Description
"Gemini Titan Launch" 2010. This image depicts the March 23, 1965 launch of Gemini 3 with it's spacecraft "The Molly Brown" carrying astronauts Virgil L. Grissom and John W. Young. Launched from LC-19 at Cape Canaveral, Gemini 3 was the first manned Gemini flight and the 17th manned space flight ever.
About Stu Shepherd
Stu Shepherd has been an aviation illustrator for nearly twenty years. His work is mostly known by box cover art on aircraft model kits made by Revell and Monogram, for whom he has done over 300 images (now including car box art and Star Wars items too). Stu has also worked in the Computer Game and Internet Community industries. He also creates art in the Science Fiction and Fantasy Genres, with his strength in spaceship design and environments. Stu just completed his first novel Sci-fi, and will soon complete his second. He lives in Central California.

Follow up comment here...your description says that Gemini was the first manned launch series in the US space program...I believe you meant to say it was the second manned launch series, as Gemini flew between Mercury and Apollo. I'm sure it is just a simple typo thing, but I thought I'd mention it anyway...again, your work is simply outstanding!
