Artist's Description
A Grumman F9F-5 Panther heads out on a mission into North Korea, circa 1950. This example is dressed up in fictitious markings for the movie "Bridges at Toko-Ri". The first successful naval jet fighter, the Panther made its mark as a close support tactical strike aircraft, though it held its own against North Korean (and Russian and Chinese) MiGs.
Art created for a model kit box cover and used with permission.
